Email
Many new students have expressed interest in learning how to synch up their USF email so that they can receive information from their own personal accounts or via their mobile devices. Here is a quick guide:
There are two main options that you can choose using Donsmail:
1. Forwarding
You may choose to forward your email from your Donsmail account directly to another account. To do this, log into USF Connect and then choose "E-mail" from the list of icons across the top. Once inside the Dons Gmail system, click "settings" and then click "Forwarding and POP/IMAP." Enter your email address in the designated fields and click "Add a Forwarding Address" to get that working.
2. IMAP
Set up your account so that it can be accessed by any program like Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail, or any mobile device. To see a list of instructions for each client, click here.
NOTE: When setting these up often the most common error is that people might get confused when your email client (for instance, the iPhone) asks for a "username." Wherever you see this, always enter in your FULL Donsmail email address (i.e. dwstepchew@dons.usfca.edu).
CALENDARS
The GBA calendar and all MBA Clubs are currently using the Google Calendar application to manage sharing. Currently the only way to synch your calendar with ours is to create a Google Calendar of your own here: http://calendar.google.com and you can search for the USF GBA calendar and add us to your own Google Calendar (choose "add a friend's calendar" and type in "usfgba@gmail.com").
OR if you use Microsoft Outlook, you can download Google's Calendar Synching Application which will synchronize any Google calendar with your Outlook calendar, which might be the best option for now. Click Here for instructions
